Coordinated Review for Advisers Switching to State Registration

The North American Securities Administrators Association, the national association of state regulators, has announced a coordinated review program for advisers that must transition from SEC to state registration and must register in more than 4 states.  Advisers that must register in 15 or more states are eligible to remain SEC registered.   An adviser must complete the Coordinated Review Form found at NASAA’s website.  Following submission of required materials, the adviser will receive aggregate comments from all the relevant states.  There is no cost for the program.

OUR TAKE:  We believe that this coordinated review is the test case/precursor of a multi-state coordinated review and examination program.
