FINRA Makes Disciplinary Actions Available Online

FINRA has announced the launch of a new online database of all of its disciplinary actions.  The database will include Letters of Acceptance, Waivers and Consents, settlements, hearings, and complaints.  Users can search by firm name, CRD number, or free text.  Previously, such materials were only available by request.

OUR TAKE: Although not a particularly welcome development for the subjects of disciplinary actions, FINRA has really been behind the other regulators (e.g. SEC) in making such materials readily available.
